064-b BIKE SHORTS WITH ‘LUMPS AND BUMPS’ PROHIBITED IN NEW ZEALAND

A cafe in New Zealand does not want their guests wear tight cycling pants where you can see ‘lumps and bumps’ because it is “inappropriate and unpleasant”.

The Plough Country Hotel in Rangoria has put a sign outside the door that says Lycra shorts are not allowed. “The bike is a beautiful object, but they should never have invented Lycra” it says.

It is an attempt to elevate the “dress standard” of the establishment, owner Mike Saunders announced.  He’s renovating the property and wants his bar ‘to be a place for the whole community’ and wants to avoid that older customers are deterred ‘,  he told the New Zealand Herald. “There are heart attacks and other things to worry about. It has happened before that someone fell down … In the British newspaper The Gardian he explains that it is not necessary for children to “see many details of one’s figure’.
